The legend of the Phantom Truck:
In order for the 34s house to remain property of the city, two companies must run out of it. The city wanted to disband Ladder 11, but that would leave only the engine in the house. Chief Barney Houston had a plan. Ladder 11 was dispatched to the municiple garage and taken out of service upon arrival there. Ladder 11 was never really disbanded, just left on a run and never returned. The house remained property of the city.
